Karen Roberts was born on a Navy base in Pensacola, Florida in 1975. Her family soon moved to Marietta where her father worked in a family practice for the next 25 years.She attended Kennesaw State University to pursue a degree in Psychiatry. She soon decided to take a few art classes. Well... needless to say, as soon as she picked up the camera she was hooked. Karen says "we all are born with special talents and God given gifts. I am just lucky to be able to pursue my dreams and live each day doing exactly what I love." That degree was changed to studio art and Karen then opened her own photography studio in 1997. Karen moved her studio in 2005 to the Smyrna Historical Covered Bridge area to make room for her growing clientele. Karen specializes in children\'s photography. She has also worked with Seaside, Florida, printing note cards for their specialty boutiques. She is happy to be offering these same images and more on this site. Her beach photography can be found in homes all over the world. Her works have been published in several photography magazines as well as the Marietta Daily Journal and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. In June 2008 an image she took was featured on Good Morning America. She loves to photograph kids doing what kids do. She takes a relaxed approach to photographing kids and strongly believes that children respond to this in a positive way.
